ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY
EMHED PLUS LIMITED acknowledges its duty to ensure the health, safety and security of its employees and protect the environment in which it operates. In this regards, it is expected of all employees to be actively involved in the implementation of our CASHES policy.
The company recognizes the fact that abuse and alcohol may give rise to health, safety, environment and security problems, as judgment and the decision- making process may become impaired. To curtail the independence of undesired events arising from this condition, the following policy has been put in place.

1. Any employee under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugs or other intoxicants shall not be allowed to work in EMHEDPLUS’S operations.
2. No alcoholic beverages or other intoxicants are to be taken to or consumed at the site of the operations.
3. Where necessary, identified sufferers from addictive behavior shall be encouraged to seek medical help and, if possible, treatment assistance shall be accorded. Such employees shall not be treated differently from others in terms of conditions of employment, although work may be restricted.
4. Pursing this policy, the company will continue to respect the rights of individuals, and will minimize intrusion into their private lives. However, the company reserves the right to conduct unannounced searches for alcoholic beverages and drugs on company locations. In addition to searches, the company also reserves the right to conduct test on individuals on company location in cases where there is strong reason to suspect alcohol and drug abuse. Refusal on the part of the employee to submit to such searches and tests may attract appropriate disciplinary measures.

WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY
In demonstrating our commitment to maintain and sustain good, health and safe environment, the following policy is set out to guide individual staff on the Management of all waste accruing from our operations.
1. EMHED PLUS LIMITED shall provide the appropriate organization, facilities, procedure and training required to ensure that all waste generated are adequately recorded, segregated and disposed of, unless otherwise stipulated by our clients.
2. Where necessary, the company will liaise with appropriate government and private organizations for disposal assistance, and for possible waste utility interests.
3. Every employee must therefore dispose any waste produced in the course of work using the designated bin for such waste if not otherwise stipulated by our clients.

Health is not only the absence of disease, but it is also the state of optimum physical, social, and mental well being of an individual. So based on this, EMHED PLUS LIMITED will ensure that all job related health hazards are properly identified and assessed with the aim of reducing exposure, by our routine management site visits. Also, adequate controls to health hazards on the job shall be provided for, by the correct use of PPE and Annual Leave Medical Examinations (ALME).

In accordance with our HSE policy, EMHED PLUS LIMITED will strive to minimize uncontrolled exposure to driving and operations hazards, and eliminate unauthorized use of vehicles and equipment. Consequently,
• Company vehicles shall only be used for company business, within company business hours, which means no night driving.
• Proper approval and hence authorization must be sought before any member of staff is allowed to use a vehicle officially by filling the vehicle requisition form (VRF) with the appropriate manager’s approval.
• All drivers must ensure they complete the vehicle allocation register before and after using a vehicle.
• A driver must ensure he completes the log book allocated to the vehicle in use.
• Any unauthorized use of company vehicle is a serious offence.

It is the policy of EMHED PLUS LIMITED to carry out its business activities in such a manner that no fatality or serious injuries to employees, contractors and third parties or damage to property arise therefrom.
The company is also committed to ensuring clean and healthy environment especially in the course of work. The HSE policy demands that all necessary HSE measures must be put in place before any job is started. The inherent hazards in our operations must have been identified and all necessary arrangements must have been put in place to control these hazards and to deal with their consequences should the need arise.
